Copper and Sea Glass Necklace by DesertShineJewelry Copper and Sea Glass Necklace by DesertShineJewelry
I love sea glass and like the look of it mixed with copper. This pendant uses both and is made from copper wire, woven with smaller copper wire into a Navajo style pattern. I've added the turquoise blue sea glass in the center and aged the copper to make the weaving stand out more.

The pendant is approximately 2-1/2" x 1-3/8" and hangs on a matching copper chain.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, has approved the registration of copper as an antimicrobial agent to reduce harmful bacteria linked to potentially deadly microbial infections, following a year of comprehensive testing in an independent US laboratory. The tests showed that 99.9% of bacteria on a copper surface were eliminated within just 2 hours of exposure.

Copper deficiency may make a person's hair gray prematurely due to the fact that melanin is a copper-dependent pigment. The wearing of a copper bracelet may prevent graying hair. The cardiovascular system also suffers ill effects from copper deficiency by being more prone to heart attacks and high blood pressure.

I love this color combination! I also love the fact the sea glass is broken up in three rather than one piece, makes it unique!
